World of Warcraft Video Contest deadline extended
|
Xfire's World of Warcraft video contest has been extended for two additional weeks. So if you were working on your own video for the contest you still have time!
Mike Cassidy, CEO of Xfire gave a reason for the deadline extension, “It usually takes longer than you might think to make a quality video and it is important that all entrants get the proper amount of time to finish their work.â€
With the addition of a short film (2 min) category this year and the chances for entrants to win more than one prize, auteurs that are already finishing up their first movie have more time to work on a second submission. With over $23,000 in prizes from AMD, XFX, Sennheiser and Ideazon up for grabs, including a $5,000 enthusiast computer, the time is right to get going.
The new timeline for the events is as follows:
Sept 25: Deadline
October 9: Finalists Announced/Voting Begins
October 23: Voting Ends
October 27: Winners announced

I love the ideas that some leading edge companies such as blizzard are discovering these days. They're finding new and unique ways to promote their products and doing things that actually work instead of just throwing ad dollars at a wall!
